How Envago helps wineries

The NPI have developed an Emissions Estimation Technique Manual (EET) for wine and spirit manufacturers in Australia to identify likely sources of emissions reportable to the NPI. Reporters must also utilize other EETs to capture and report all emissions from their facility, such as from the storage and combustion of fuels, or the operation of heaters and boilers. For wineries of any size, the requirement to report is significant.

We know that the emission sources in this industry demands complex calculations to report correctly, and it takes time to get it right. Discover how Envago’s industry leading accounting software can work for you, with our range of flexible service plans. Each plan has been carefully designed to help you save time, minimise costs, and achieve audit-ready NPI reports.

DIY

Do it yourself with the help of our reporting tool and data collection sheet so you can better understand your data requirements.

DIY+

Save time and effort with a full list of methods provided by Envago – just calculate your emissions and plug in to your Envago datasheet!

DFY

Done for you! Envago will calculate and generate your report through our industry leading accounting system, and upload to the NPI ORS for your submission. Easy, effective & efficient.

Here’s how DIY works

Scroll through the process

Step 1

Access to free tool “Am I Required to Report to NPI?”

Envago’s free test collects information to determine if you’re required to report to NPI. Input basic information, such as production figures and fuel usage, to calculate and compare against reporting thresholds. If your facility is found to trip reporting thresholds, you’ll be invited to continue to a specific industry datasheet questionnaire.

Step 2

Complete your industry datasheet questionnaire

Ready to prepare your report? Now it’s time to complete an industry datasheet questionnaire, which covers more detailed questions that provide us with important information about your facility’s activity in the reporting period, including use of equipment, energy consumption, production systems, and production figures. We’ll use your results to customize a data collection sheet, defining the reporting boundary and providing clear direction on the information required to calculate your NPI report.

Step 3

Purchase a plan

Once your datasheet questionnaire is complete, we will contact you to take payment for the correct pricing Service.

Step 4

Access your custom facility datasheet

Once you have purchased a pricing Service we can send you your custom facility datasheet so you can start reporting. Need more help with your reporting? Just let us know and we’ll upgrade your service plan!

Step 5

Access calculation methods

DIY+ and DFY clients will be provided with a full list of calculation methods, which dramatically reduce the amount of time spent on estimating report emissions. We’ll provide you with NPI manuals condensed to their principle equations and all required methods for your report to save you the burden of sourcing these. Simply calculate your emissions using the methods and data sheet provided.

Step 6

Envago reviews & validate your data

Once you’ve completed your calculations, have them checked by our team of experts to ensure quality and accuracy through our review and validation stage of reporting. Collected data is scrutinized by an Envago staff member who identifies gaps, and any unusual data points that require revision.

Step 7

Envago configures, enters, and calculates your report

As a DFY client, you can leave the calculations with Envago. Using our industry leading accounting software, we’ll configure and enter all required data as provided in your approved datasheet – with a detailed analysis of your sources and NPI methods – in a robust and secure environment.

Step 8

Store and Submit Results

Your report data and documentation will be uploaded to the NPI ORS and stored in our database for 12 months, accessible at any time through our website. As a DFY client, you’ll have full access to your calculated report and breakdown of emissions for 12 months after submission to the NPI, helping you better understand your emissions profile compared against other industry emitters. If you’re selected by the NPI for a report audit, simply login to your secure portal to access emissions, calculations, and methods, for a seamless and timely review of results.
